Spotlight on Sign Language: Good, Good, Good

Although each uniquely centered around the students in them, if you were to walk into any classroom at the Little Light House, there are a couple of things that you would find are used consistently. One of those things is sign language. Research indicates multiple advantages for development in children with special needs, with the development of speech, language, social, emotional and academic skills being enhanced through the use of sign language. Our teachers incorporate sign language into every single activity and are always finding fun ways to help our little ones master this skill.
If you’d like a little sneak peak on what our students are learning this month in the classroom, check out this video below. You can learn the signs to our monthly curriculum song, “Good, Good, Good,” and sign just like our students do!
