HelpKidzLearn: Free online trainings that happen live and available as recorded events. Topics include using switches with the iPad, how to use Inclusive Technology software options (e.g., ChooseIt! Maker3, HelpKidzLearn), how to use Inclusive Technology hardware options (e.g., Tobii Eye Gaze). When you attend a live event, you will receive a certificate of attendance. I am not sure if you receive anything when you view a recorded event.
AbleNet University: Free online trainings that happen live and available as recorded events. Topics include AT/Switches, Autism/UDL, Communication, Curriculum, iDevice/Computer, Mounts/EADL’s. Certificates of Attendance are provided for both the live and recorded events.
AAC Institute: This is a Free Self-Study Program on AAC that is broken down into 4 modules. Certificate of Attendance and CEU’s are available upon completion of each module and a passing quiz score of 80%.
Closing the Gap: A variety of AT topics are available, trainings cost $$ (price varies), CEU’s available. Recorded webinars are available with a yearly $110 subscription. Subscription rate decreases if more than one person at an organization gets a subscription.
ATIA (Assistive Technology Industry Association): “ATIA’s Online Professional Development Webinars Program provides the latest information on AT products, services and best practices from leading regional, national and international presenters. We show you how to apply it to your day-to-day work. We provide the tools to integrate technology effectively into the classroom, home, work, life”. Trainings cost $$ and the price varies depending on how many webinars you wish to attend. There is also a subscription program for large teams.
Prentke Romich Company (PRC): There are a variety of live online and face-to-face training opportunities available. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and ASHA CEU’s are available. Trainings cost $$ and vary depending on the event. The trainings are geared toward anyone who works with individuals who use AAC devices, not just PRC products.
Dynavox: There are a variety of live and recorded online training opportunities available. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance and ASHA CEU’s are available for some classes. Trainings are FREE.
RESNA: A variety of continuing education opportunities in the field of AT. Face-to-face, webinars, and quizzes related to current articles in the Assistive Technology Journal. Trainings cost $$. CEU’s available.
EdWeb.Net: Free online webinars on a variety of educational and technology topics. You can attend live events or view recorded events and receive a CE certificate.
